Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Bicycle Shops or Bicycle Accessories Outlets or Cycle Repairers

Pedalworks Bike Shop

7 West St, Dunstable LU6 1SL, UK – 01582 478070

Absolutely first class service from Brian and the team when buying my cyclocross bike and fixing my road bike this past week - expert, professional and friendly. Thank you.

Extremely helpful and friendly. Bought two Cannondale cyclocross bikes for me and my wife. Couldn't have been more friendly or obliging. Lots of helpful suggestions. Wanted to sell the 'right' bikes for us, as opposed to what they had for sale. Free bike fitting was excellent. Have been back a few times and always the same excellent standard of service. Overall really impressed.

dysons cycles

97 High St S, Dunstable LU6 3SF, UK – 01582 665533

The guys in Dysons went out of their way to help me fix my buggy wheel! They were extremely pleasant and helpful! Would highly recommend this place. Thanks so much for your time & efforts, we are back on the road again!

Brilliant shop. Knowledgeable staff. Great prices. Bestplace to buy a bike in all of Bedfordshire.

Radial Cycles Head Office

Hy-Pro House, Houghton Regis, Dunstable LU5 5BN, UK – 0800 731 0600

Before I started reading positive online reviews I'd never heard of Radial bikes, and though I liked the sound of them I was slightly worried about buying something without seeing it first. However, as far as my experience is concerned - and I've now owned my bike for over a year - those reviews turned out to be completely justified: this is an astonishing bike for the money - lovely to ride, with quality fittings and an excellent frame, beautifully put together. Add in a great paint finish plus a good quality saddle and you struggle to find anything to even quibble about. The guys in my bike repair shop were genuinely impressed when they first got a chance to have a look. The current UK market is saturated with lots of perfectly reasonable bikes churned out from the factories the Far East, but even with their economies of scale and lower wage costs, to buy a bike of the same quality as this you'd currently have to pay considerably more. So on my experience, I can't recommend this small company enough. These bikes are put together by hand in the UK, and knowing how much all the fittings cost I struggle to see how they can make any profit on them. I can only suggest you buy now before they put the prices up further.

Cycle Hire

Halfords

8a, Boscombe Rd, Dunstable LU5 4WL, UK – 01582 609841

I have heard many bad opinions about Halfords but I have not had any major issue so far. They have nice discounts. The stuff is relatively good quality in comparison to the price. The only thing I don't like and have experienced quite often before it's out of stock products of my size.

Very grateful for an emergency fuel cap. Thank you.
